Machines

I simply love machines and machine tools and have spent many a happy hour staring at them in one museum or another - either longing for them to move, or delighting in their movement. The function of the machine is not important to me, it’s the aesthetics that I love. Even before I knew what a milling machine was, I had a set of milling cutters. Even before I had tapped a thread, I had a tap and die set. Machines and machine tools however, have not just been my inspiration but also the means to produce my work and I have spent many a happy (and sometimes frustrated) hour in front of a lathe or a milling machine. So it is with good authority I can say that few things are as delightful as doing a high speed cut on a Colchester 2000.
