Beast

A collaboration with Stef Bottinelli, investigating the concept and perception of identity, familiarity and alienation by utilising animal masks, objects that are often seen as absurd, ridiculous and even repulsive, in ordinary surroundings, doing ordinary things, such as shopping, taking public transports and exercising.
‘Beast’ challenges the audience to explore the unfamiliar in a familiar environment and asks whether concealing certain readable aspects of a human being, such as the face, can still provoke feelings of recognition and empathy in the viewer.
